SERBIAN SYCLONE ALL THE WAY IN FRIDAY FEATURE

AUBURN, Wash. (August 24, 2018) – Serbian Syclone set wickedly fast fractions and held off Iron Rob and Mixo and scored a three-quarter-length victory in Friday’s $11,200 Muckleshoot Casino Purse for 3-year-olds and up.

With leading rider Rocco Bowen up, Serbian Syclone set fractions of :21.30, :43.21 and :55.44 en route to his third win of the season. Serbian Syclone paid $4.70, $2.60 and $2.10.

A 6-year-old Kentucky-bred by Wildcat Heir, Serbian Syclone is 10-5-1 in 34 lifetime starts with earnings of $201,940. Manny Ortiz—17 for 47 this season—is the trainer for owner Tim Bankers of Rancho Mirage, Calif.
Iron Rob, with Jose Zunino riding, flew late for second and paid $3 and $2.20, while Mixo, ridden by Kevin Orozco, also finished well for third and paid $2.10.

Golden Cowboy, Estiqaa and Capital Expense rounded out the order of finish.

Capital Expense, breaking from the No. 6 post-position, dueled with Serbian Syclone to the head of the stretch and gave way.

NOTES: Bankers has nine wins this season, good for fourth in the owners’ standings. . .Daytona Beach, with a 1:08.09 clocking on June 17, has the fastest six furlongs of the meet. . .Ryan Walt ($18.40) became the second four-time winner of the meet with a narrow victory over Calex in the Friday opener. A 5-year-old Nationhood gelding, Ryan Walt is 4-0-0 in eight starts this season for trainer H.R. Pat Mullens and his co-owners owners Swede Larson and Ed Zenker. . .My Chief ($12.80) finished second but was placed first in race five, as 29 to 1 Meet At Jakes was disqualified and placed second for interference in the stretch. . .In a rarity, seven different jockeys and trainers won races on the seven-race card. . .
