TURN BACK THE CLOCK  TO THE 1970’s ON AUGUST 6

AUBURN, Wash. – On Sunday, August 6th, Disco will be back, and wagering will be a lot simpler as Emerald Downs turns back the clock to the 1970’s. Only Win, Place, Show, Exacta, and Trifecta wagering will be offered along with an early and late Daily Double.

The track will welcome back special guests who were prominent at Longacres in the 1970’s, including champion jockeys Gary and Vicky Baze. Admission and a program will be just $3 along with food and beverage specials. Even the presentation of the races will feel nostalgic with retro running numbers.

The promotion kicks off Mile Week as the $150,000 Longacres Mile will be run on Sunday August 13. “We thought it would be fun to pay tribute to the racetrack experience of the 1970’s,” according to track President Phil Ziegler. “We hope the betters throughout the country will enjoy the condensed wagering format.”
