XPRESSBET.COM WA CUP FEATURES OLDER HORSES
AUBURN, Wash. (Sept. 2, 2018) – Older horses take center stage as Emerald Downs presents the third and final leg of the Xpressbet.com Washington Cup on Sunday, Sept. 9.
The WA Cup stakes double-header features a pair of 1 1/16-mile tests: $50,000 Muckleshoot Tribal Classic for 3-year-olds and up, and $50,000 WA Cup Filly & Mare Stakes presented by Xpressbet.com.
The Muckleshoot Tribal Classic drew 16 nominations including four previous WA Cup winners: Mike Man’s Gold (2014 Muckleshoot Tribal Classic), Pulpits Power (2017 WA Cup Sophomore), Sippin Fire (2017 WA Cup Juvenile), The Press (2016 WA Cup Sophomore)
The WA Cup Filly & Mare drew 12 nominees including defending champion Exit Sixty Slew, and No Talking Back, stakes-placed three times at the 2018 meeting.
Entries will be drawn Thursday.
