She Said My Way and Rocco Bowen power to the lead

SHE SAID MY WAY LAST TO FIRST IN SATURDAY FEATURE

AUBURN, Wash. (Sept. 2, 2023) – She Said My Way rallied from far back for a 1 ½ -length victory over Yogya in Saturday’s $14,000 Muckleshoot Casino Purse for older fillies and mares at Emerald Downs.

With Rocco Bowen riding his second of three winners Saturday, She Said My Way covered a mile in 1:38.78 and paid $19 to her scattered backers under the lights. Kimberly Johnston is the winning trainer for Buzzys Barn LLC.

In last place entering the stretch, She Said My Way rallied in the middle of the track, collaring Yogya in deep stretch to win going away. A 4-year-old Washington-bred by Lutes Gift, She Said My Way earned $8,120, boosting her career mark to $33,146. Her overall record is 2-7-1 from 15 starts.

Yogya, the 6 to 5 favorite ridden by Carlos Montalvo, took command into the lane, was a length clear in mid-stretch but couldn’t hold off She Said My Way late.

Driveway, 9 to 5 second choice ridden by Alex Crux, finished third while Olivia’s Choice, Saint Sista, Sailing In, and Rainbow Stew rounded out the order of finish. I Am Yours was scratched earlier in the day.
