PRIME EXAMPLE COAST TO COAST IN SATURDAY FEATURE

AUBURN, Wash. (June 3, 2023) – Heavily favored Prime Example drew clear for an emphatic  9 ¾-length victory in Saturday’s $14,000 Fidelity National Title Purse for 3-year-olds and up at Emerald Downs.

Ridden by Luis Negron for trainer Justin Evans and owners Bill Tomasic and Susan Tomasic, Prime Example zipped 5 ½ furlongs in 1;03.21 and returned $2.80 as the prohibitive betting choice in a field of six 3-year-olds and up.

Negron and Evans teamed for four wins Saturday and top the jockey and trainer standings with 18 and 14 wins respectively. Negron and Evans are a combined 13 for 28 at the meeting.

A 4-year-old Kentucky-bred by Midshipman, Prime Example won for the second time in four career outings—two each at Turf Paradise and Emerald Downs—and earned $8,120 to up his career total to $20,395.

Mischievous Holiday finished second, followed by I Am Yours, Agrigento, Predication, and Summanus.

In addition to Prime Example, Negron and Eavns clicked with Shesaheatwave ($4), Tennessee Moon ($2.60), and Arthur Spooner ($4.20).

Negron’s four-bagger is the first by a rider this season at Emerald Downs while Evans joined Blaine Wright (May 14) as trainers with four wins on a single card.
