It’s all Queen Breezy in the Saturday feature race

QUEEN BREEZY SCORES POWERFULLY IN SATUDAY FEATURE

AUBURN, Wash. (June 25, 2022) – Queen Breezy powered to the lead into the stretch and drew off for a convincing 5 ¼-length victory in Saturday’s $16,500 John Parker Racing Purse for older fillies and mares.

Ridden by Alex Cruz, Queen Breezy ran six furlongs in 1:09.60 on a fast track and paid $7.60 as second choice in the wagering. Candi Cryderman is the winning trainer for John Parker, the meet’s leading owner with nine wins.

One of six horses to record four wins here in 2021, Queen Breezy picked up where she left off last year. Stalking the leaders as Judicial set fractions of :22.50 and :45.44, Queen Breezy darted through the inside to wrest control into the lane and bounded home to win easily.

A 5-year-old Washington-bred by Linchpin, Queen Breezy earned $9,075, boosting her life mark to $50,279. Her overall record is 5-3-2 from 16 starts.

Parker is dominating the owners’ standings with a 9-3 lead over Lusk Racing, Purple Rose Ranch, and Chad and Josh. Parker’s 159 career wins rank fourth all-time at Emerald Downs. Cryderman tied Blaine Wright for third in the trainers’ standings with at nine wins each.

Sleepy Sue, ridden by Jennifer Whitaker, held second place, and has now finished first, second, and third in three starts at the meet.

Red Noon Rising, ridden by Kevin Radke, finished third, followed by Lady O’Prado, even-money favorite Judicial, and Clochard Street.
