MISS DYNAMIC ALL THE WAY ON SATURDAY NIGHT

AUBURN, Wash. (July 29, 2023) – Miss Dynamic used her blazing speed for a front-running 2 ½-length victory in Saturday’s $24,000 Muckleshoot Casino Purse for older fillies and mares at Emerald Downs.

With Rocco Bowen riding, Miss Dynamic zipped six furlongs in 1:10.32, returning $7.20 as second choice in the wagering. Rigoberto Jesse Velasquez is the winning conditioner for owner/breeder Antonio Mendoza of Hermiston, Ore.

A stakes winner at age 2 and stakes-placed earlier this year at age 3, Miss Dynamic received some class relief Saturday, dropping into allowance company while not having to face the uber talented Aloha Breeze.

Breaking from the No. 6 post, Miss Dynamic cleared the field and the outcome was pretty much never in doubt, the bay filly showing the way through fractions of :22.20, :44.88, and :56.99, enroute to her first victory of 2023.

A Washington-bred by Dynamic Impact, Miss Dynamic improved to 3-2-2 in eight starts lifetime with earnings of $83,795. Her biggest triumph was a 5 ½ length romp over Aloha Breeze in last year’s Angie C Stakes. Aloha Breeze has won four of five subsequent starts including daylight victories in both 3-year-old filly stakes this season.

Ms Flashy Harbor, second longest price in the race at 12 to 1, rallied for second while Nana’s Angels, Driveway, Yogya, Shelby Gold, and Rainbow Stew rounded out the order of finish.

Nana’s Angels crossed the wire third but was disqualified and placed fifth for causing interference on the backstretch.

For Bowen, the win aboard Miss Dynamic finished off a natural hat trick for the three-time Emerald Downs champion, who is seven wins away from becoming the sixth rider in track history with 600 wins.

NOTES: Mutuel handle totaled $857,018 on a seven-race card. . .Big night for trainer Candi Cryderman and owner John Parker teaming for a win with Moscow Lady ($6.20) in race one and finishing one/two with 2-year-old fillies Neissa ($6.60) and Shelby Shortstop in race four. A Parker homebred by Gold Rush Dancer, Neissa is out of four-time Emerald Downs winner Among the Stars. . .With the wins, Parker moved into sole possession of second place all-time with 185 wins at Emerald Downs, two clear of Sue and Tim Spooner. . .Joe Toye’s win with Saint Sista ($18.60) in the nightcap is his 399th at Emerald Downs and puts him one shy of becoming the 11th trainer to win 400 races at Emerald Downs. . .Live racing continues Sunday with an 11-race program–nine Thoroughbred and two Quarter Horse. First post 2 p.m.
