LE TUB ALL THE WAY IN FRIDAY FEATURE RACE
AUBURN, Wash. (June 10, 2022) – Le Tub took command early and powered to a 2 ¾-length victory in Friday’s feature race at Emerald Downs, the $16,500 Muckleshoot Casino Purse for older filles and mares.
With Juan Gutierrez in the saddle, Le Tub covered six furlongs on a sloppy track in 1:09.65 and paid $6.40 as the second choice in the wagering. Joe Toye is the winning trainer for owner Paddock Partners Ltd.
Breaking from the outside post in a five-horse field, Le Tub set fractions of :21.73, :44.37 and :56.52 enroute to his fourth victory from 15 starts lifetime. He earned $9,075, boosting his career total to $70,384.
Emerald Sea, ridden by Jose Zunino, rallied to finish second while Sleepy Sue, ridden by Jennifer Whitaker, finished third. Red Noon Rising and Classic Leah rounded out the order of finish. Heat Seeking Leta, the 9 to 5 morning line favorite, was scratched earlier in the day.
Total mutuel handle was $924,841 on a seven-race card.

Pharoah to prevail in the $25,000 maiden claimer for 3-year-olds and up.
