Mamacallmeboo and Alex Cruz nearing the wire in Friday feature

MAMACALLMEBOO SCORES IN FRIDAY NIGHT FEATURE

AUBURN, Wash. (July 8, 2022) – Mamacallmeboo carried his speed coast to for a 3 ¾-length victory in Friday’s $15,000 Muckleshoot Casino Purse for 3-year-olds and up at Emerald Downs.

With Alex Cruz up for his third win of the night, Mamacallmeboo ran six furlongs in a brisk 1:09.29 and paid $5 as the betting favorite. Tim McCanna is the winning trainer for owner/breeder Horseplayers Racing Club #341.

Breaking from the outside post, Mamacallmeboo sprinted clear at once, set fractions of :22.19 and :44.70, turned back a challenge from Mosquito Fleet into the stretch, and cruised home for the victory.

A 4-year-old Washington-bred by Abraaj, Mamacallmeboo is 3-2-1 in 10 career starts with earnings of $30,900. He is 3-2-1 in eights starts at Emerald Downs.

Mosquito Fleet, the 5 to 2 second choice ridden by Javier Matias, held second while Devils Workshop, ridden by Javier Matias, finished third. Starzan, Street Demand, and Western Rule rounded out the order of finish.

Bourbonwithatwist and Keep On Danzing were scratched.
