FLEET MARIE PREVAILS IN FRIDAY FEATURE RACE
AUBURN, Wash. (July 26, 2019) – Fleet Marie wore down Timberlake Gage and prevailed by a head in Friday’s featured Muckleshoot Casino Purse for fillies and mares at Emerald Downs.
Ridden by Juan Gutierrez, Fleet Marie ran six furlongs in 1:11.18 and returned $3.60, $2.20 and $2.10. Bonnie Jenne is the winning trainer for owners Doug and Nancy McPhee of Maple Valley and Craig Fredrickson of Bainbridge Island.
Timberlake Gage, ridden by Eddie Martinez resisted gamely when headed by Fleet Marie in the lane to just miss the victory, returning $3 and $2.80. Ridden by Eddie Martinez, Timberlake Gage set fractions of :21.89, :45.15 and :57.80.
Are Rated was 4 ¾ lengths back in third and paid $3 to show, while Gold Supply, Excessive Belief, Z’s Speranza, Piun Up Lady and Star Gauge completed the order of finish. One Fast Bunny was a late scratch.
A Washington-bred 3-year-old by Papa Clem, Fleet Marie is 2-1-0 in seven lifetime starts with earnings of $16,365.
