Nan Elizabeth with jockey Kevin Orozco

AUBURN, Wash. (August 4, 2023) – Nan Elizabeth surged late and collared Reign of Fire in the final strides for a neck victory in Friday’s $24,000 JD Plumbing Purse for older fillies and mares at Emerald Downs.

Winning her third straight, Nan Elizabeth ran six furlongs in 1:10.14 and paid $9.20 as third choice in the wagering. Kevin Orozco authored the perfectly timed ride for owner/trainer Luciano Median Gabriel.

A 5-year-old California-bred by Flat Out, Nan Elizabeth has risen the local claiming ranks from $5,000 to Friday’s victory for $25,000. Her overall record is 5-3-3 in 20 starts with earnings of $75,160, including 3-1-1 in five starts and earnings of $36,050 at Emerald Downs.
