CORGI RACES AT EMERALD DOWNS ON ESPN2

AUBURN, Wash. (Aug. 5, 2021) – Friday, Aug. 6, will mark the return of ESPN8: The Ocho, transforming ESPN2 into the No. 1 destination for distinguishable sporting events. ESPN8 will feature 24 hours of unique programming, including fan favorites and newcomers.

One of the new events is Corgi Races from Emerald Downs. The 30-minute program produced by the track will air at 1 p.m. PDT. The races took place on Sunday, July 25 with 70 Corgis from throughout the region participating between the thoroughbred races. The ESPN program is hosted by Claire Anderson from KIRO-TV and Emerald Downs track announcer Tom Harris.

This is always a popular event and folks from around the county will see how much fun the Corgis, their owners, and fans have at these races. The 2019 champion Angus, owned by Marian and Davis Phan of Auburn, WA, return to attempt to defend their championship.
