Handicapping Contest

This FREE contest will take place near the Winner’s Circle on track level starting at 4 PM.

The contest will be a “survivor” contest. All entrants will pick a winner in the first designated race. The correct pickers will then advance to the second race. A handicapping question will be asked prior to each live horse race to the remaining players. After we get to one person remaining, that person will be deemed the Champion of the Handicapping Contest.

Sign up on Track Level near Winner’s Circle * FREE * One Entry per person * Contestant must be here for all races. All selections prior to each race will take place just south of the Winner’s Circle.

Contest will start with Race Number 2

Prior to each race, contestants will be asked a handicapping related question

Those who correctly answer the question will advance to the next race, those who did not will be eliminated

The last surviving competitor will be declared the winner

Champion – $1,000

Second – $500

Third – $250

Eligibility
• Must be 18 years of age or older by contest date to participate
• Employees of Emerald Downs, the WHRC and Sportech, Inc. are not eligible.

Each Participant agrees to abide by all published tournament rules and regulations. In the event of a dispute, Tournament Judges will render a decision in their sole discretion. All players abide by, and agree, that the decision of the Tournament Judges is final. The Tournament Judges have the right to disqualify any participant who has violated any of the rules and regulations.

Emerald Downs reserves the right to add, delete, amend, or change any portion of the Contest rules and regulations. Emerald Downs also reserves the right to cancel the Tournament for any reason. No discussion or correspondence will be entered into concerning the contest or the decisions of the Judges.
