AUBURN – Luca returned to Emerald Downs and once again was flawless in taking the Wiener Dog Championship by many lengths. Luca (#10) has now the championship heat three consecutive years after running backwards in 2019.
Over 70 dogs competed in the traditional races at the Auburn racetrack.
Alexandra Borowiecki is the winning owner from Seattle.
The Wiener Wannabe Championship came down to a photo-finish between #8 Ice Ice Lady (Trevor Schneider, Seattle) and #1 Arlo the Long Boi (Jamie Jensen, Auburn). The two had run in the first qualifying heat of the day with Arlo the Long Boi winning.
