WA CUP CONTINUES WITH JUVENILE TWIN-BILL

AUBURN, Wash. (September 1, 2019) – Washington-bred 2-year-olds take over as Emerald Downs presents the second of three Xpressbet Washington Cup double-headers on Sunday, September 8.

Colts and geldings meet in the $50,000 Washington Cup Juvenile Colt & Gelding Stakes presented by Elysian Brewing Company, and fillies battle in the $50,000 Washington Cup Juvenile Fill presented by Pegasus Training & Rehabilitation. Both stakes are 6 ½ furlongs.

Harbors Rule and Wilson to Lockett, second and third place finishers in the WTBOA Lads Stakes, top 11 nominees to the Washington Cup Colt & Gelding. Harbors Rule missed by neck at 31 to 1 in the Lads and is a full brother (Harbor the Gold-Felice the Cat) to 2014 Colt & Gelding winner Mach One Rules.

For You Only, winner of the Angie C Stakes, and Windy Point, second in both the Angie C and Barbara Shinpoch Stakes, head 10 nominees to the Washington Cup Filly.

Xpressbet WA Cup concludes with the $50,000 WA Cup Filly & Mare Stakes and $50,000 Muckleshoot Tribal Classic, both at 1 1/16 miles, on Sunday, September 15.
