O B Harbor Tops Locals With 123 lbs
ALERT BAY, O B HARBOR FIGURE AS STARTING HIGH WEIGHTS
Peter Redekop’s Alert Bay and One Horse Will Do Corporation’s O B Harbor each received 123 lbs as weights were released Saturday for the $200,000 Longacres Mile (G3) on Sunday, August 14.
Entries will be drawn Wednesday morning in the Emerald Room, and a prospective field of nine or 10 runners is taking shape. The following runners are confirmed or still under consideration for the 81st running of the Grade 3 Mile: Alert Bay, O B Harbor, Stryker Phd, Cyrus Alexander, Point Piper, Prime Engine, Sammy Mandeville, Star Student, Dedicated to You and Barkley.
Barkley would be the first 3-year-old to start in The Mile at Emerald Downs, although trainer Howard Belvoir said it was more likely his star sophomore wouldn’t run in the race.

Guinevere’s Finale Weighted At 120 lbs
ALL STAR BUB HIGH WEIGHT IN $65,000 EMERALD DISTAFF
All Star Bub, a 4-year-old Midshipman filly conditioned by Hall of Fame trainer Jerry Hollendorfer, is high weight of 121 lbs for the $65,000 Emerald Distaff for older fillies and mares at 1 1/18 miles.
The 21st running of the Distaff shares billing with the Longacres Mile on Sunday, August 14.
Although 3-for-18 lifetime, All Star Bub has competed with many of the top fillies and mares in California, including a third to three-time Eclipse Award champion Beholder in the $100,000 Adoration Stakes on May at Santa Anita. She also has a victory over second-level allowance runners at 1 1/16 miles in February at Santa Anita.
Guinevere’s Finale tops the local contingent with 120 lbs. A 5-year-old Tale of the Cat mare, Guinevere’s Finale is 3-for-5 at the meet and comes off a 23-1 upset in the $50,000 Boeing Stakes on July 17.
Chronologic’sghost, third in the Boeing, is next at 117 lbs, while 3-year-olds Princess Kennedy and Find Joy received 115 and 114 respectively.
