Handicapping Contest
Our 2024 took place on Sunday, August 18.
“Survivor Style Contest”
Sign up on Track Level near Winner’s Circle beginning at 12:30 PM * FREE CONTEST * One Entry per person * Contestant must be present for all races
Contest will start with Race Number 3, only Emerald Downs races will be used
Prior to each race, contestants will be asked a handicapping related to the finish of the race
Those who correctly answer the question will advance to the following race, those who did not will be eliminated
The last surviving competitor will be declared the winner (Second, third and fourth place finishers will be determined on who lasted the longest and where their horse(s) placed when eliminated)
Champion – $1,000
Second – $500
Third – $300
Fourth – $200
Eligibility
• Must be 18 years of age or older by contest date to participate
• Employees of Emerald Downs not eligible
Each Participant agrees to abide by all published tournament rules and regulations. In the event of a dispute, Tournament Judges will render a decision in their sole discretion. All players abide by, and agree, that the decision of the Tournament Judges is final. The Tournament Judges have the right to disqualify any participant who has violated any of the rules and regulations.
Emerald Downs reserves the right to add, delete, amend, or change any portion of the Contest rules and regulations. Emerald Downs also reserves the right to cancel the Tournament for any reason. No discussion or correspondence will be entered into concerning the contest or the decisions of the Judges.
