Championship Sunday • 84th Longacres Mile
Racing in the Pacific Northwest hits the zenith on this August Sunday as Emerald Downs will host four divisional championship races all on one day the the first time.
The FOUR races:
- $200,000 84th Longacres Mile (G III) (3-year-olds and up)
- $50,000 Muckleshoot Derby (3-year-olds)
- $50,000 Emerald Distaff (3-year-olds and up, fillies & mare)
- $50,000 Washington Oaks (3-year-old fillies)
Enjoy the excitement of our biggest day of Thoroughbred racing.
Specials throughout Championship Sunday include:
- $2 12 oz Draft Beer
- $2 Margaritas
- $2 Hot Dogs
A buffet only on the fifth floor, no table service menu.
Joe Gottstein, the founder of Longacres, started the tradition of the Longacres Mile.
The traditional kick-off party for the Longacres Mile, which was first run at Renton’s Longacres racetrack back in 1935, starts at 11 AM in the Park.
We’ll have prize drawings, trivia, drink specials, handicappers, jockeys, owners and trainers during the two hours.
All Emerald Rewards members can swipe their card for a free admission up to August 10. The admission ticket gets you a program, bratwurst, chips and a soda.
