83rd $200K LONGACRES MILE (G3) / FOUR $50K STAKES / RAILBIRD RALLY
GATES OPEN: 9:30 AM | FIRST RACE: 2 PM
The LONGACRES MILE dates back to 1935 when first held at the racetrack called Longacres in Renton which opened in 1933 and closed in 1992. The founder of Longacres – Joe Gottstein wanted a premier race in the Northwest. The 1935 race had an unheard of purse of $10,000.
So today is about the history of racing in Western Washington as horse facing fans come from all over every year to watch and wager on OUR biggest stakes race on the calendar.
We’ll have a Prime Rib & Salmon buffet on the fifth floor, call 253-288-7711 for reservations. Cost: $ 38.93- $ 45.42 (includes tax and gratuity). Child $ 15.58.
First race 2 PM.
