OMACHE KID FIRST HORSE TO WIN THREE RACES AT THE MEET

Auburn, Wash. (July 22) – Make it three straight victories while climbing the class ladder.

Omache Kid did just that rallying from off the pace with red-hot rider Alex Cruz in the saddle taking Wednesday’s $11,200 feature race in a stirring stretch drive.

The 6-year-old Washington-bred owned by Joe Crawford and Joe Burke edged out Bound to Go by a neck at the 6 1/2-furlong distance. Omache Kid paid $9.20 win and has collected seven wins from 40 career starts.

So Lucky led into the stretch and faded finishing third while the favorite Mixo was never a factor finishing fifth at 5/2. The final time was 1:18.52.
