COMPANY’S DREAM ALL THE WAY IN SUNDAY FEATURE

AUBURN, Wash. (May 14, 2023) – Company’s Dream held off betting favorite It’s Turbo and scored a nose victory in Sunday’s $25,000 Muckleshoot Casino Purse for 3-year-olds at Emerald Downs.

Undefeated in two starts, Company’s Dream covered 5 ½ furlongs in 1:02.56 and paid $11.20 as third choice in a field of six sophomore colts and geldings. Kevin Radke was aboard the winner for trainer Vince Gibson and owner Lusk Racing.

Breaking sharply from the inside post, Company’s Dream set fractions of :21.46, :44.31, and :56.32, shook off Mister Midas into the stretch and just lasted over an onrushing It’s Turbo.

A Washington-bred by Jersey Town that sold for $5,500 at the 2021 Washington Yearling Sale, Company’s Dream earned $14,500 and is now two for two with earnings of $24,465. The chestnut gelding scored his maiden win last February at Turf Paradise.

It’s Turbo, the 6 to 5 choice ridden by Isaias Enriquez, rallied strongly inside to just miss the victory for trainer Frank Lucarelli and owner Roy Schaefer. A California-bred by Curlin to Mischief, It’s Turbo was upset winner of the 2022 WTBOA Stakes.

Mister Midas, ridden by Luis Negron, held third in a promising 2023 debut while Ice Tower, Royal Halo and Gold Rush Junior rounded out the order of finish.

NOTES: Total mutuel handle was $1,629,081 on a 10-race Mother’s Day card. . .Blaine Wright saddled four winners Sunday for his second career four-win day at Emerald Downs. Wright is atop the early season standings with five wins while defending champ Jorge Rosales and newcomer Justin Evans have three wins each . .Alex Cruz led jockeys with three wins while Silvio Amador and Kevin Radke both doubled. . .Trainer Candi Cryderman and owner John Parker combined for two wins and Parker is now tied with Howard Belvoir for third most career owner wins at Emerald Downs with 177 apiece. . .One winning ticket in the $0.20 Jackpot Pick Six paid $5,154.68. . .Live racing resumes Saturday with 2 p.m. first post.
