MISS DYNAMIC POWERHOUSES TO VICTORY IN FEATURE

AUBURN, Wash. (June 9, 2024) – Miss Dynamic sprinted clear early and powered home for a 5 ½-length victory in Sunday’s $25,500 Muckleshoot Casino Purse for older fillies and mares at Emerald Downs.

With Juan Gutierrez riding his second feature race winner of the weekend, Miss Dynamic zipped six furlongs in 1:08.11 and paid $8.64 as the public betting choice. Rigoberto Velasquez is the trainer for owner/breeder Antonio Mendoza of Hermiston, Ore.

Washington’s Champion 2-Year-Old Filly of 2022, Miss Dynamic last raced in August but was stakes-placed vs. the speedy Aloha Breeze and trained well for her 2024 debut. Sent to the lead from the No. 1 post, Miss Dynamic set fractions of :21.41, :43.66, and :55.54, responded when challenged by You Go Girl, and was clear at the wire.

By Dynamic Impact-Miss Salome, Miss Dynamic has four wins, two seconds, and two third from 10 career starts with earnings of $99,330.

You Go Girl, ridden by Alex Cruz, held second with Silvery Orb, Jose Zunino riding, finishing third. Ruby Ray, Zippen Sevenz, Zazen, and Miss Bella rounded out the complete order of finish.

NOTES: Sunday’s mutuel handle totaled $793,870 on an eight-race card. . .Zazen was claimed for $30,000 Sunday by Chad and Josh with Howie Gibson the trainer, tying for most expensive claim of the meet. . .Vivacious Tribute ($14.42) won the first 2-year-old race of the meet, rocketing 4 ½ furlongs in :50.87 under Karlo Lopez for Blaine Wright and owner Margaret Root. The winner, a Root homebred, is by Tom’s Tribute out of Vivacious Beauty. . .Wright swept the first three races with Spinnin Pistols ($3.94), Vivacious Tribute, and Bring a Smile and tied Justin Evans atop the trainers’ standings at 12 wins apiece. . .My Sunshine ($13.44) took the nightcap and became the fourth two-time winner at the meet. . .Karlo Lopez rode two winners and cut Alex Cruz’ lead atop the riders’ standings in half. Through 13 days, Cruz leads with 15 wins, followed by Lopez at 13 and Carlos Montalvo with 10. . .Racing resumes Friday with first post 7 p.m.
