AUBURN, Wash. (July 6, 2019) – Killarney Lass turned in a sensational performance in Saturday’s $18,500 Muckleshoot Casino Purse for 3-year-old fillies.
Gaining the lead into the turn, the 3-year-old Eskenderaya filly romped to an 18 ¼-length victory while running 6 ½ furlongs in a blazing 1:14.47— just .12 seconds off Anyportinastorm’s meet-fastest of 1:14.35 in the Budweiser Stakes last week.
Riding his fourth winner Saturday, Kevin Orozco steered Killarney Lass for trainer Frank Lucarelli and owner Dan Sargent of Edgewood, Wash. The winner returned $4.60, $3 and $2.20 as the betting favorite.
