D K’s CROWN PREVAILS IN FRIDAY FEATURE RACE
AUBURN, Wash. (July 12, 2024) – D K’s Crown shook clear on the turn and powered home to a 3 ¼-length victory over Moonlightnwine in Friday’s $16,500 Muckleshoot Casino Purse for 3-year-olds and up at Emerald Downs.
With Kevin Krigger riding for trainer Justin Evans—their 10th combined victory on the season—D K’s Crown covered 6 ½ furlongs in 1:16.40 and paid $11.50 as third choice in the wagering. Evans, Paul Miller, and Jeff Plotkin co-own the 7-year-old gelding, now 11 for 44 lifetime with earnings of $139,495.
Moonlightnwine rallied from far back to snatch second and has two wins and a second from his last three starts. Elevado, the 2 to 1 public choice, finished third while Winter Falcon, Club Mesquite, Ko Samui, and Cajun Treasure rounded out the order of finish.
