TRINNI RIDES RAILS TO VICTORY IN FEATURE

AUBURN, Wash. (Aug. 4, 2017) – Trinni, perfectly ridden by Rocco Bowen, wore down Swiss Script in the final furlong and scored a 1 ½-length victory Friday in the $11,200 Muckleshoot Casino Purse for older fillies and mares at Emerald Downs.

Scoring her first win of 2017, Trinni ran six furlongs in 1:10.33 and paid $13.20, $6.60 and $4. Jeff Metz is the winning trainer for the partnership of Highlander Racing Stable, Horseplayers Racing Club and Woodway Stable.

Swiss Script nearly stole the race on the front end, setting fractions of :21.82, :44.68 and :57.07, before yielding to the winner late. Ridden by apprentice Kevin Orozco, Swiss Script paid $9.60 and $5.

Lucky Echo, the 3-to-2 betting favorite ridden by Isaias Enriquez, finished evenly to take third and paid $2.40 to show. Luck Out, Our Silver Lining, Top Kitty Cat and Bella Colomba rounded out the order of finish.

A 4-year-old Washington-bred by Private Gold-Trinity Treasure, Trinni has a lifetime record of 4-4-2 in 15 starts with earnings of $48,899. Friday’s victory was worth $6,160.
