WEEK 5 FEATURE RACES:

For You Only

THURSDAY, JULY 23, RACE 3, (5:55 P.M.) $18,500 ALW, 3YO & UP F&M, 6F: This allowance dash features five runners exiting the same condition three weeks ago plus a promising newcomer coming off a big maiden score. For You Only easily ran the best of those from the common race, saving second after dueling with talented Windy Point through a :44 and change half-mile. A stakes winner at age 2, For You Only shows two good interim works and will be tough to deny on the front end. Unless Daffodil Sweet is the real deal. The first foal out of a dam related to several good horses, Daffodil Sweet drilled a nice field of straight maidens by 8 ¾ lengths at 17 to 1 in her July 2 debut. That was the night, however, when speed dominated and winning margins included routs of 2 ¾, 9, 5, 7 ¾, 2 ¾, 8 ¾, 7 ½ and 6 ¼ lengths.

So Lucky

WEDNESDAY, JULY 22, RACE 9 (6:31 P.M.), $12,500/$10,000 CLG, 3YO & UP, 6 ½ F: So Lucky dropped anchor early after taking serious tote action two weeks ago and might clear this group early, and the barn is solid with horses second off the layoff. The only knock is 6 ½ furlongs might be a tad far. Omache Kid seeks to become the first three-time winner at the meet while jumping in class off a claim. Making his 27th start in two years, Omache Kid should get a lively pace to chase here. Mixo earned a good figure off the bench and added distance helps his cause, but he has only one victory in 24 career starts here.
