The Longacres Mile part of Cross Country Pick 4

EMERALD DOWNS/SARATOGA COMBINE FOR CROSS COUNTRY PICK 4

The $200,000 Longacres Mile (G3) and $65,000 Emerald Distaff are part of a special $0.50 Pick 4 Sunday with Saratoga Race Course. The Cross-Country Pick 4 will include Race 9 at Saratoga, with an approximate post time of 2:40 p.m. PST and Race 10 around 3:18 p.m., followed by the Emerald Distaff (Race 7) at approximately 5:11 p.m., and ending with the Longacres Mile, Race 8 on the card, at 5:51 p.m.

The pool will be hosted by Emerald Downs and will have the standard Pick 4 takeout rate of 22.10 percent.

This is the third Cross-Country Pick 4 NYRA of 2017, following its debut July 15 with Belmont Park and Los Alamitos for the Los Alamitos Derby, and July 30 partnership between Saratoga Race Course and Monmouth Park for the Haskell.

SPECIAL ALL STAKES PICK 4 AT EMERALD DOWNS

In addition to the Emerald Downs/Saratoga Pick 4, there also is an All Stakes Pick 4 at Emerald Downs on Races 5 to 8. Also a $0.50 minimum, this Pick 4 features the $25,000 Pete Pedersen Overnight Stakes (Race 5), $25,000 King County Overnight Stakes (Race 6), $65,000 Emerald Distaff (Race 7), and $200,000 Longacres Mile (Race 8). There are 38 horses in the sequence, an average of 9.5 per race.
